Yet, they lack the deatil or the impact in the mids and bass. Other speakers may have better bass reaponse, but they cannot touch the Jamo in the mids and treble. The bottom line is, the Jamo Concert 11 is a high-end speaker that does eveyrthing very well. In the past 2 yeares, I' ve listened to many speakers, such as Hales, Totem, PSB, B&W.

To my ears, this combo can play any genre of music, & keeps the deep bass under control [most of the time]. The bass is not particularly resolved, but meaty enough to be satisfying, whether playing rock or orchestral music. As my power amp, has four pairs of speaker terminals, the speakers are connected with 2 runs of Lenehan Ribbontek cables.

I've had these Jamo D870's (aka Concert 11's) for almost 5 years now and have yet to hear a speaker at anywhere near the price that can touch them. Yes, I know, Jamo isn't known for high end speakers, mostly selling lower price ok kit. But these are something special. High end, crystal clear.

The Concert 11's use Seas drivers, including magnesium midranges. Functionally they are perfect and have but a few marks and smudges, nothing major. The cabinets are mahogany, and along with the flat back faceplates they are absolutely gorgeous visually. The Jamo's are 4ohm/91db, and the back plate recommends 150w long term/200w short term.

Jamo Concert 11 are an excellent speaker and are equipped with Seas Excel series drivers they have a five way adjustable crossover depending on how you wire in the speaker cable /jumpers to attenuate the mid and twetter, overall in great condition other than a couple of small scratches that are hardly visible. I presently have a pair of JAMO Concert 70 doing duty as my upper rears, above the kitchen cabinets in our great room. These little guys are amazing, especially after I re-foamed them.. Earlier this year I got an unbelievable deal on a pair of Concert 11's and a D Sub8. I knew of Jamo, but hadn't known about the Concert series.

Talk about position, Jamo make optional stands for the Concert 8, priced at ECU500 and looking quite unusual. Take the Concert 8, extend it to a big floorstander, add a woofer for the low bass, while restricting the magnesium bass/mid driver's task to upper bass and mediums, and lo, you have a Concert 11! I own a pair of Concert 11. Mine also had a failed magnesium midrange, after inspection actually both had the corrosion problem. After a long search all over the web, I purchased the last remaining pair of new drivers, supposed to be built in 2019 with some kind of upgrade for the corrosion, from Falcon Acoustic in the UK on October 2019 ( JAMO 20525 W17E-JAM SEAS H0853-04) .
